Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website so that it can recognise your browser on a later visit. On somerville.de we use strictly necessary cookies, which keep the session working and remember your cookie choice, and — only if you allow them — statistical cookies that tell us anonymously which pages are read most often. Necessary cookies are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating the site; all other cookies are set only after you press "Allow" in the banner. The specific cookies in use are listed in the table below.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| cookieconsent_status | Stores whether you allowed or declined non-essential cookies | 12 months |
| PHPSESSID | Keeps the technical session while you move between pages | Session |
| _ga | Anonymous visit statistics; set only after consent | 24 months |
| somerville_lang | Remembers the interface language you selected | 6 months |
You decide which cookies are set: press "Decline" in the banner and nothing beyond the strictly necessary files will be stored. Every current browser also lets you view, block or delete cookies from its privacy settings, usually per site, and you can clear existing cookies at any time to reset your choice on this site. Please note that disabling necessary cookies may break the contact form or cause the consent banner to reappear on every page. To change a decision you have already made, delete the cookieconsent_status cookie and reload the page.
Two external services may place or receive data through this site: Google Maps, used to display the location of our office on the contact page, and the fonts and script libraries delivered from Google Fonts and the jsDelivr CDN. Loading these resources transmits your IP address to the provider, which may process it outside Germany on the basis of the standard contractual clauses. We embed the map in its privacy-enhanced form and set no advertising cookies of our own. Further details on how we handle personal data are set out in our Privacy Policy.
